How do I... Make An Appointment?
Alternative Content can be Placed Here
To make an appointment please telephone the practice or ask at reception.
If you are late for your appointment, you may be asked to wait until the end
of the surgery before you see the doctor.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please let us know so that the time
can be given to another patient.
The practice also operates a telephone consultation service. This means you can
speak to the doctor if you wish by telephone either as an open access appointment
(that is, the same day if the matter is urgent) or as a booked appointment.
Please ask a receptionist about this service.
The practice operates a daily telephone triage with the duty doctor to enable
patients to be directed to a suitable service for their medical needs.
Patients have a right to express a preference of GP, but this may not always
be possible for appointments booked on the day or in the case of emergencies.
Please ask a receptionist about booking ‘online’.
To make an appointment for Boots Branch call main surgery on (01422) 349501.
Urgent Cases
Anyone with an urgent problem should
telephone the practice and they will be seen on the same day. Please be prepared
to wait for a suitable appointment time by the on-call GP/duty doctor.
How do I... Obtain A Home Visit?
Home visits are at the absolute discretion of the doctors. House calls must
only be requested if the patient is too ill or too infirm to attend the surgery
and for no other reason.
When a home visit is required, please try to request the visit before 10.30am,
except in an emergency.
The receptionists are told to ask for as much information as possible by the
doctors so that requests can be given the necessary priority.
Some visits may be carried out by our nurse practitioner.
