Antenatal Clinic
Patients are seen by the midwife at Jubilee Centre clinic by appointment.
They can also make an appointment to be seen by a GP during surgery hours.
Child Health Clinics
Mondays and Thursdays
The Monday clinic is a health visitors advice and drop-in
clinic. Childhood immunisations can be carried out at this clinic by appointment
only. Thursday clinics are for first medicals and first childhood immunisations.
CHD Clinics
This clinic is held by Dr Manyeula on Wednesday mornings and is by appointment
only.
Dermatology Clinic
Dr Nagpaul holds this clinic on alternate Tuesday mornings. Please ask a
GP for referral.
Asthma Clinic
This is a GP-led clinic held on Wednesday mornings.
Diabetic Clinic
We hold the annual attendance diabetic clinics Wednesday mornings. This is conducted by a GP and a nurse and is attended by the chiropody
service.
Family Planning
Contraceptive advice is provided by all the doctors during surgery hours and
also by the nurses.
Well Person Clinics
We are keen to promote the health and wellbeing of our patients by offering
regular health checkups and advice on a variety of health matters.
These clinics are run at various times by the nursing staff, with easy access
to the doctors, and include important checks for blood pressure and urine testing.
Cervical smears, advice on breast self-examination and immunisations are also
carried out in these clinics. We also offer lifestyle advice on weight control,
diet, smoking, alcohol consumption and stress reduction.
Health Checks
All new patients are requested to attend a new patient health check (please
bring a sample of urine) - this enables us to obtain details of your past medical
problems and to provide better care. We also offer health checks for patients
over 75 years of age.
Cryotherapy
Usually held on the afternoon of the first Tuesday of the month, for the treatment
of minor skin complaints such as warts, verrucae and skin tags.
Please make an appointment with the doctor first for assessment.
Minor Surgery
We perform other minor surgical procedures when appropriate. Please make an
appointment with the doctor first for assessment.
Physiotherapy
If physiotherapy is necessary, the doctor will refer you.
Psychotherapy and Psychiatry Services
These services are available on site. Where necessary the doctor will refer
you to the visiting cognitive behavioural psychotherapist or community psychiatric
nurse.
Alcohol Clinics and Alcohol Counselling
This clinic is conducted by a GP every week; please ask reception for an appointment.
Young Persons Clinic
This is aimed at persons under 25 years requiring advice on a number of issues,
eg contraception and sexual health. The clinics are run by a female GP and are,
as with all clinics, held in complete confidence.
